Food is by far the best Chinese food I've ever had. But it is also expensive. Service was pretty good. And the inside is very nice

There aren't many restaurants in Ione, CA. But when I'm in Ione I will always eat Ione Chinese. I've eaten there many times, ordered take out many times but this is my first review of them. Service is quick and friendly. Ambience is typical strip mall Chinese restaurant. There are certain dishes we always order..... the special wonton soup (wor wonton) and mandarin chicken. Love love love the mandarin chicken. Chicken chow mein is good, Mu Shu pork is good, honey walnut prawns are good. Until recently, this restaurant has been very consistent. For the last several months we have noticed that sometimes the food is under seasoned (not enough salt). Other times it is as perfect as ever. We will continue to eat at Ione Chinese as it's the only Chinese in town and hope that they return to their consistent goodness.
We stumbled across this place when we were driving back from Kirkwood Ski Resort to the Bay Area. Food was very good and staff very friendly. We look forward to visiting this restaurant again on our next Tahoe visit.
Good food, worth the drive from Pioneer on occasion, or to pickup on the way home from Sac or Galt. Everything we've tried tastes great, but the pricing is a little on the high side, which is probably more caused by rising food prices overall. Let's Go Brandon!!
I recently tried Ione Chinese Restaurant as I frequently visit the Ione market plaza, and it met my standard expectations for a Chinese restaurant in every aspect. The staff deserve high praise for their exceptional service from the genuine smiles at the entrance to the attentive and knowledgeable wait staff. Their professionalism and friendliness added a touch that made my to-go experience truly go well. For my order, I got Vegetable Fried Rice. I'd have to say the restaurant is able to concoct a delectable fried rice dish. The balance of flavors, the freshness of the vegetables, and the nicely cooked rice made this dish stand out to me. The portion size and visually appealing presentation only added to the overall delight. Whether you're a vegetarian or simply a fan of fried rice I recommend trying this dish. The restaurant is exceptional to me in terms of employees, decor, and food (particularly the Vegetable Fried Rice). I had a satisfied stomach and a keen desire to explore more of their menu in the future.
Always amazing! Food was superb. Hot and fresh! Service is always amazing. Pictures are after we had finished dinner. Enough for leftovers the next day.
